Do I have to replace my heating now?

Usually not. You may keep operating a working heating system, and a broken one can as a rule be repaired. The planned new heating law (GModG) is still in the legislative process — there is currently no rigid obligation to replace. We'll classify what applies to your location free of charge.

What does municipal heat planning mean for my house?

Düsseldorf is planning which neighbourhoods are more likely to be supplied via a heat network (district heating) in future and which via own solutions such as a heat pump. That is guidance for your planning — not a requirement to do something immediately.

What funding do I get — and how much?

Through the federal funding (KfW 458), depending on the requirements, up to 70% subsidy is possible, capped at eligible costs of €30,000 per residential unit (max. €21,000 subsidy). Important: the application must be submitted before the contract is awarded. An energy consultant clarifies the exact entitlement.

Yes. For you it's free — you pay nothing. We finance it through referrals: if a job with a specialist firm (heating, solar) comes about through us, we receive a fee. The referral to an energy consultant remains free and neutral. This does not create any additional costs for you.

Do you advise me on the heating yourself?

Accepted Answer

No. We coordinate and remain your dedicated contact — the technical advice is provided by a certified energy consultant (listed in dena's energy-efficiency-experts list). The work is carried out by vetted specialist firms.

Where does your information come from — and how accurate is it?

From the official state heating study NRW, presented at the level of your building block (just as the state publishes it too). These are estimated model values for guidance, not a measurement at your house — without warranty.

Is solar worthwhile on my roof?

We give an initial assessment from roof area and orientation — how much electricity would be possible and how much of it could cover your demand. The exact yield is checked by the official solar cadastre or a specialist firm on site.

Roughly what does a new heating system cost?

That depends heavily on type, size and insulation condition. Our calculator shows an indicative range with a source — a specialist firm sets the exact figure in the end.
